Testimonials
Informer has been the best investment we've made since we converted our administrative software to a UniData platform. With its easy, web-based, real-time, point and click interface, Informer delivers a powerful reporting solution that is affordable and would be almost impossible to be without now.
- Kevin Houk, Application Systems Analyst, Carson-Newman College
What has been the organisational impact of Informer?
We have found that having Informer available is taking the burden of getting information off of the colon prompt users and allowing more casual users to get the data they want when they want it, rather than having to get a request fulfilled by a colon prompt user ... It is really helping us with our goal of making Datatel information more accessible to more people.
- Joan Anderson, Gustavus Adolphus College
It is on the repertoire for my staff to use, when appropriate, for departments who don't have someone of the "power users" level and then just have the end user run the report for themselves whenever they need.
- Lori Murray-Hawkins, University of New Brunswick
How difficult was the installation?
It was VERY easy to install. A few simple steps and no problems.
- Joan Anderson, Gustavus Adolphus College
How well has the implementation of Informer gone into your organisation?
As soon as people see how Informer works they are excited to start using it and it has been easy to get them involved in setting up the metadata that they use. People in departments that we haven't introduced it to yet have seen other people using it and have approached us asking to get access to it.
- Joan Anderson, Gustavus Adolphus College
The approach we took to putting Informer into production was that my technical team set up meta tables for the "usual" Colleague and Benefactor files, then put on a 1 day training session for the power users on setting up reports. These power users will then train their end users on running the reports. We will be working with the power users on user security and documenting the reports they generate to keep some coherency to the whole picture.
