George Land

George

George started working in the multi-value world in 1983 with CMC Reality, the following years saw him working on manufacturing software before becoming UK Technical Manager for System Builder in 1987. George was one of the first people to become involved with SB+ and carried out the presentations during the launch. Since 1990 George has been working with Stuart and has managed a number of projects including the development of a commodity broking system with SB+ on UniVerse before developing the membership software that is APT’s main application today. George’s Product Development team work in SB+, UniData, U2 Web DE, VB and java to enhance our software and have over seventy years U2 experience between them. In 2007 George made two trips to Denver to work with the U2 development team.

Stuart Shepherd

Stuart has been involved with multi-dimensional databases since 1984 and designed and implemented a number of applications whilst Data Processing Manager for a large plc. In 1989 he started working on his own before joining up with George in 1990. He created APT’s accounts software and implemented it as the basis for a system carrying out all the administration for a major estate agency chain utilising wIntegrate. Over recent years Stuart has been APT’s Managing Director and directly manages the delivery of APT’s application to our customers with a team of 25 including 11 handling support and bespoke development.

We have a dedicated team of experienced account managers who will be in contact and visit each and every U2 user. They are here to ensure that users are kept up to date with the latest knowledge regarding the U2 product set and to ensure that your organisation has the correct tools for your requirements. Your account manager is the person to contact regarding new licences/queries on old licences, questions regarding events/training etc. In-depth technical questions are answered by our support team.

The APT Support team are here to help with any technical queries or issues. The team consists of a number of skilled and IBM certified individuals who between them have amassed an enviable amount of years experience within the U2 environment. Any queries we are unable to resolve will be passed to IBM directly.

To improve the support service provided we will be tracking the calls you register with us against product serial numbers and versions of the product. You will then be passed through to the most relevant person in our support team for assistance.
