APT Solutions is a leading supplier of software and services to the Not For Profit sector in the UK and Australia. Our customers are large Trade Unions, Institutions, Charities, Clubs and Societies and all of our software is based on U2 technology. We are proud to have been selected as IBM's UK Master Value Added Reseller (VAR) for the U2 product set which encompasses Universe, Unidata, SystemBuilder, SBClient, wIntegrate and WEB2DE (formerly Redback).

As of the 1st August 2007 APT have been responsible for delivering the ongoing support and maintenance.

Owned by George Land and Stuart Shepherd, APT was founded in 1988 and employs 35 staff, many of whom have substantial experience with U2 and other technologies. Today our software is based on SystemBuilder and UniData running on both Windows and Unix. We have installed some of the largest U2 Web DE (RedBack) implementations and have a history that includes projects on UniVerse and utilising wIntegrate. We were the first U2 VAR to implement a system using EDA to store data in DB2 and are active in the group assisting IBM with the Early Adopter versions of SystemBuilder 6.

Our aim is not just to provide a support and maintenance service but to help to promote the use of the technology.

U2 is one of the fastest growing parts of IBM’s Information Management division. Around the world companies are developing and selling world class applications that often dominate their sector. Yet few publicise their use of U2 and it is easy for people to lose track of what is now possible with the technology, particularly in recent years with the investment that IBM have made into product development. APT have been pleased to work closely with the IBM U2 team both in the UK and in Denver, we have good relationships with the key people and as Master VAR we will be very active in promoting U2 to the market and in representing the interests of our customers within IBM.
