Rocket are pleased to announce the availability of UniData and UniVerse MultiValue
Add-ins for Visual Studio (U2.NET) Version 1.2 as of July 31, 2009.
U2.NET 1.2 can help open your potential marketplace up to countries requiring
multibyte languages. U2.NET 1.2 can work with NLS-enabled UniVerse, using UTF-8
encoding, to handle Unicode character data. The U2.NET Runtime installation now
supports a client-only installation for customers who need to install the U2.NET client
libraries on the client machine running the application.
The new Profile Creation Wizard greatly simplifies the process of creating and editing server
profiles and login profiles, and the server setup process in U2.NET 1.2 is now considerably
faster and more reliable.
There are also several documentation enhancements in this release. The Binding Objects Web
tutorial now has a section that explains how to build a completely seamless Binding Objects
Web application in Visual Studio. The Core Objects documentation has also been updated
extensively. It is now presented in an Online Help format, which includes an expanded class
library section that details the different members of each class, and provides syntax examples,
inheritance hierarchies, and code examples for the different Core Objects classes.
